Anyhow so I was outside a little while ago and the trees outside where alight with the flickering of lightening bugs. For some reason the sight of it put any image in my head for a chapter out of my next book. I am so eager to get to work on it so, I am in front of the computer preparing to pound out the last couple of chapters in my other book. I just thought I'd drop by here and say I had a great day, so I best be going I got work to do. Here is a song that brings
So I have had another great day. Well for the most part anyway. I mean I can't really help what my two years old does. (gotta love her anyway). So thanks to my very awesome mom, I have found someone who could quite possibly be illustrating my book covers for me. Go Mom. I so greatly appreciate my mom's enthusiasm about my writing career. I really just want to tell her thanks for how supportive she has been during this entire process. As the title states I am almost there. Four or five more chapters and my first book will be ready to up loaded to createspace.com. I am so very excited. I have been struggling over the last few weeks to put pen to paper or finger to keyboard. However yesterday something just hit, I'm not sure if it was that my writers block finally lifted or if it was the fact that my own personal deadline is fast approaching, but I couldn't stop typing. I was up until two a.m writing. I finally made myself go to bed when I realized I was make too many typing errors. So now I am up and I have had a nice cup of coffee and I am back in front of my computer. I am almost positive that my desire to write so fervently has a lot to do with all of the great books I have been reading lately. I have been just soaking the good books up I finished the Watcher trilogy five days after I started it. That's right I read all three books in five days. Great job Karice Bolton. I have now moved on to a new series Keary Taylor's Fall of Angels series. I don't know but I think it's the angels that pull me in. Needless to say the last three series I have read have been about angels. Must be a good topic. So you see that must be where the urge to complete my first book has come from. It is just a basic romance novel, I already have my on science fiction novel series in mind and I have been working on it off and on over the last month. However I told myself that I could not give it my full attention until I completed the book I was already working on. You know one thing at a time. So after reading one science fiction romance novel after another my new characters have been screaming for their story to be told. But I had made a promise that I wouldn't move on to start something new until I completed task one. So I mentally decided it was time to finish up the novel I have been working on so that the series I have in my head can finally have its chance the be heard. I am looking forward to writing it. So with out further ado I must get back to work. Bye for now. This song just makes me feel good. Thought I should share it with you. My day had a great start. First of all I got to sleep in until ten am which hasn't been able to happen in a while. I was awakened by my loving husband who brought me breakfast in bed. My favorite part was the delicious coffee that perked me right up and got me out of bed. So now I am going to spend most of my day in front of the computer screen. I have some book reviews I need to write on goodreads.com and some work that need to be done on my book. I am trying to get it finished in a matter of about two weeks so wish me luck. BTW I have read some pretty awesome books in that last few weeks. Amy Bartol's Indebted was a great read. Read it in about 24 hours. If you haven't started reading the Premonition series you really should all three of the first book where amazing. The other series I am reading now is The watcher trilogy by Karice Bolton. Book one was Awakening great read, I read it in like two days. I started book two yesterday entitled Legions. I am at about 85% according to my kindle. What can I say when the book is good I cant put it down. My kindle goes every where with me. Picture me standing in my kitchen stirring a pot of boiling pasta with one hand and my kindle in the other. That is usually me, or I am sitting it the bathroom on the edge of the tub while my two year old is trying to go potty and I am reading my kindle. Sorry I can't help it great books and great authors do that to me. And what can I say there are a lot of great authors out there, and most of them are indie. Gotta love the Indie authors. I am well on my way to joining the club. So with that being said, I need to get to work. So I'll leave you with Florence and the Machine's Cosmic Love, because I am definitely sending love out into the Cosmos for all of the indie writers out there. So first of all happy belated mother's day to all mothers. Now on to my mother's day. I woke up to breakfast in bed that consisted of mushy cereal and weak coffee. Prepared by my oldest two children. My ten year old made the weak coffee and my son the soggy cereal (he poured the the cereal and milk before the coffee was done brewing.) Yum my husband asked if I was really going to eat it I replied absolutely. My babies made me that breakfast and by god I was going to choke it down no matter what. Isn't that what mother's day is all about really. After my five star breakfast, I received my homemade cards. They were so sweet they brought tears to my eyes. From that point on my day got increasingly worse. Both of my girls got a cold so all plans had to be canceled. My husband left for work and I spent my day doing what moms do best. Taking care of sick kids. My mother's day dinner was Kraft Macaroni and cheese yummy. My son spent his whole day on the computer watch old episodes of a cartoon the doesn't air anymore. The bright side is I finished editing the first seventeen chapters of my book so Yea me. All and all my mother's day was spent exactly the way it should have been. Being a mom.
